The ESRF, the European Synchrotron, is an international science facility based in Grenoble, France. Votre mission : As part of the Accelerator and Source Division, the Diagnostics group is responsible for the measurement of the electron beam parameters of the ESRF’s accelerators through a range of specialised instruments and detectors. They comprise, amongst others, instruments for the beam position, current, emittance, and beam loss measurement. In a team of 8 people, you participate in the maintenance, assembly, installation and development of these instruments. Your tasks are the following:  Assembly and installation of existing and newly procured mechanical and electronic instruments  Test and troubleshooting of these instruments in the lab and under operational conditions (including data analysis and documentation writing)  Participation in specific design aspects and improvements of our instruments

Profil recherché : PROFILE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE  You should hold a technician degree (BSc, Licence, HND, HNC, BTS, DUT, Bachelor, Meister, Vordiplom, Perito, Laurea Triennale, Diplomatura, Ingenieria Técnica or equivalent) in a relevant field  Beginners and candidates with up to 5 years of professional experience will be considered  You should be familiar with measurement techniques in the domains of physics and electronics  Good skills in electronics and informatics are appreciated  You will have to smoothly integrate into an international multi-disciplinary team and be able to efficiently work and communicate with colleagues  Basic proficiency in English (working language at the ESRF)
